AWRF is proud to introduce a new member of the association this year. Atkins and Pearce is a closely knit family company that began in 1817, and are poised to celebrate being in business for almost 200 years. They have been considered the most diverse technical textile manufacturer in North America.
Based in Covington, KY, Atkins and Pearce is a manufacturer of braided technical textiles producing tubing, coated insulation sleeves, industrial cordage and twine, and candle wicks. They spotlighted some of their high performance sling materials at this year’s Spring AWRF PIE that are made with Dyneema and another product manufactured with a mix of Dyneema and Kevlar. Dyneema is a lightweight high-strength strand gel that has been touted as being the world’s strongest fiber.
AWRF is pleased to welcome Atkins and Pearce as part of the synthetic textile community and are excited to see what they will bring to future meetings and events.
Serving the Lifting, Rigging & Load Securement Industry
Our Association was formed in 1975 and incorporated the following year by a group of concerned businessmen who felt there was a need for sling fabricators and special rigging components manufacturers to join together to form a trade association.
